Greiner Bio-One will be showcasing its new Sapphire pipette and filter tips at Biotechnica 2011. The main benefit of these tips is their extraordinary accuracy and precision.
Sapphire tips are free of detectable DNase, RNase, human DNA and are non-pyrogenic. They are available in standard, filter tip and low-retention designs - all ensuring maximum precision, recovery and ease of use.
High-quality pipette and filter tips are extremely important for precise pipetting. The new generation of Sapphire pipette tips from Greiner Bio-One fit perfectly onto the pipettor.
To ensure this and to optimize functionality, Sapphire tips are made from high-grade polypropylene. They combine easy fitting and removal with fast filling.
The pipette tips are transparent and graduated. Extremely thin walls in the middle section enable good visual control of the pipetting process. Tip ejection requires only minimal effort and ensures problem-free pipetting.
The absence of detectable DNase, RNase, human DNA and endotoxins makes Sapphire tips ideal for very sensitive experiments.
Moreover, the new product family includes low-retention tips with specially optimized surface properties for maximum precision.
Because no liquid remains in the tip, pipetting is virtually residue-free. This boosts efficiency and the usable volume. It also prevents the wasting of valuable sample material.
Both the low-retention and standard tips are available as refills, which significantly reduces waste. Sapphire tips come in volume ranges of 10 µl, 20 µl, 300 µl and 1,250 µl and can be used with all standard pipettors.
