TNF-α: A Master Pro-inflammatory Cytokine
Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) is a cytokine important in nearly all acute inflammatory reactions by acting as an amplifier of inflammation. TNF-α blockade has been used worldwide to treat inflammatory conditions, e.g., rheumatoid arthritis.
