SYBR® Green I as a biomarker for schizophrenia
The purpose of this study were to examine if the mRNA of the peripheral dopamine receptor is changed in schizophrenia patients. 50 Naive patients were enrolled. After extracting RNA from white blood cells, cDNA is synthesized. After doing the quantitative Real-time PCR, expression of D3 receptors in healthy persons and patients were compared. Results of this examinations reveals that expression of D3 receptor is increased in compared with controls sample.

Stem Cell Derived Human Neurons in CNS Drug Discovery
Central nervous system disorders affect many people worldwide. To increase the quality and number of drugs available for treatments of CNS disorders such as Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia and anxiety, the success rate of CNS drug discovery programmes must be improved. The challenge in drug discovery is to develop more relevant assay systems to identify lead compounds for further development. Cell based screening assays currently used for CNS drug development involve primary cells or commercially

Transcreener™ PDE Assay: Homogenous AMP and GMP Detection
To facilitate the rapid identification of PDE inhibitors, BellBrook Labs has developed a fluorescence polarization immunoassay that directly detects AMP and GMP. The Transcreener™ PDE Assay includes a single set of reagents - an anti-AMP/GMP antibody and fluorescent tracer - that can be used for any cyclic nucleotide PDE, providing a robust, cost-effective alternative to currently available technologies.

High Throughput High Content Screening using a Multiwavelength Microplate Cytometer
The Acumen eX3, a multiwavelength microplate cytometer, offers 405, 488 and 633 nm laser excitations in one instrument. This advancement significantly extends the range of fluorescent reagents that can be combined in multicolour, multiplexed assays over a wavelength range for excitation that is similar to that of white light source instrumentation. Thus, it permits seamless transfer of high content assay protocols, developed using CCD-based imaging devices, onto the Acumen eX3 for screening.

An Ultra-High Throughput Approach to High Content Screening in 1536-Well Format
The Acumen Explorer combines the object-recognition capabilities of image-based systems with read speeds similar to that of bulk readers. Here, we demonstrate the powerful integration of an Acumen Explorer with the Kalypsys® Integrated Screening System, with capability to screen > 300,000 wells per day of high content data.

A Novel Array-Based Assay for the Detection of IgG-Mediated Food Intolerance
The Genarrayt 200+ Foods IgG test comprises of glass slides onto which 16 microarrays of over 200 different foods have been printed. Each microarray includes standards for quantitation and positive and negative controls for quality control. Food IgGs are detected by a novel fluorescent dye labelled anti-human IgG conjugate and results are measured using a laser scanner. Fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to antibody activity in the sample.
