Industry standardization creates marketplaces that can cross borders, reducing regulatory burdens, enabling sustainable business growth, and protecting consumers. For over a century, standards development organizations (SDOs) have provided forums for industry stakeholders to transform their interests into marketplace-relevant solutions. Ultimately, with standards, globally recognized certification schemes are created that enable recognition of adherence to best practices that keep consumers safe.

Regulators, laboratories, and consumers alike are struggling to keep up with growth of legal cannabis markets and the wave of novel products hitting the shelves. Now in its 4th year, ASTM International Committee D37 on Cannabis has over 1000 members across 30 countries. Of the many types of standards, the most critical to ensuring standardization verified through testing are Standard Specifications. Come join ASTM Cannabis Committee leaders Darwin Millard and David Vaillencourt to learn about the multitude of specifications that are in development at committee D37, a new certification program that ties the Standards together for marketplace recognition, and how to get involved and future proof your operation! We encourage you all to become involved to shape the global marketplace to benefit us all!

During this webinar we will discuss:

  • Specifications which are in development at ASTM's D37 Committee
  • A new certification program which ties Standards together for marketplace recognition
  • How to get involved with ASTM and future proof your operation
