To combat and ultimately cure Alzheimer’s, a collaborative effort from across science will be required. Technology Networks’ online symposium, Advances in Alzheimer’s Research, brought together researchers from around the globe in May 2019. In this plenary, Professor Michal Schwartz, the incumbent of The Maurice and Ilse Katz Professorial Chair in Neuroimmunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel will outline how her team have investigated the potential of immunotherapy in Alzheimer’s disease over the last twenty years and will explain how targeting the systemic immune system may be the key to effective therapy.
