This year’s event will focus on enhancing transparency in partnerships to improve quality, maximise resources and accelerate clinical development. Included in the Keynote sessions is a high-level discussion on identifying trends, delivering data faster and providing holistic views of actions and communications throughout a study. Stream A on Day One (5th November 2014) will challenge existing outsourcing models, lead the debate on the best outsourcing strategies by therapeutic area, and assess operational risk sharing between partners. Case studies throughout the stream will bring these discussions to life, giving examples of both good – and – bad practice in the sector. The Partnering in Risk-Based Monitoring stream on Day One is expected to draw large number of delegates at this year’s Congress. The session will assess the real-life applications of risk-based monitoring and how the concept can be practically implemented. An interactive hub, new for 2014, will go on to explore the key metrics that have worked successfully for trials where risk based monitoring techniques have been applied. Stream B on 5th November 2014, will focus on Disruptive Innovation and identify how new technologies can result in stronger outsourcing processes. Speakers will explore sponsor/ CRO responsibilities for innovation, as well as examine strategies to access innovation from external providers. Rosie Bernard, Event Director for the 13th Annual Partnerships in Clinical Trials Congress, commented: “Our delegates come to collaborate and participate in high level discussions so this year’s Conference programme is set to be more interactive than ever before. We have increased the number of discussions and debates in the programme, allowing experts from a variety of organisations to share their views on strategies, different models, alternative mindsets and other experiences on the same subject. There will also be more interactive hubs and dual dialogue sessions which will give greater opportunity for audience participation.” Running alongside the Conference once again, will be the world-renowned Partnerships in Clinical Trials Exhibition. More than 350 exhibitors operating in the global clinical sector are expected to attend this year with over 10% of those being brand new to the event, including LabCorp, INC Research, World Courier, Eurofins and MyMeds&Me. Organisers are also expecting record visitor numbers of over 900 attendees, offering more business and networking opportunities than ever before. Rosie Bernard concluded: “Facilitating business and networking opportunities between sponsors and providers is an essential part of our exhibition. This year, we have looked at new ways to achieve this whilst also ensuring that we uphold our reputation for delivering a first-class, educational programme that is as innovative and informative as possible. We are really looking forward to what the 2014 event will bring.” - Ends - For further press information please contact Cat Mallaband at the PCT press office on +44 (0) 20 7240 2444 or e-mail catherine@stormcom.co.uk.
