The SCRS is the first organization fully dedicated to representing the interests of the clinical research site community, enabling members to participate in discussions and decisions that ultimately impact the clinical research sites and the industry at large. Acurian joins the SCRS as a Global Impact Partner, a designation which includes executive-level participation on the SCRS Global Impact Board.
“We are pleased to join the SCRS in its focused efforts on improving the clinical research process, particularly at the research site level,” indicated Rick Malcolm, Acurian’s CEO and SCRS representative. “At any given time Acurian is working with over 2,000 research sites worldwide. Our goal is to help each site increase its enrollment capacity by providing it with high quality, pre-screened patient referrals, and support services to maximize the randomization potential of all referred subjects.”
Malcolm believes that Acurian’s active participation in the SCRS will provide the company with increased exposure to the challenges and opportunities sites face within a constantly evolving trial landscape. “The SCRS has established a collection of top tier sites that will provide critical feedback and information to ensure we are serving their needs properly. Through an even tighter alignment with sites, Acurian can increase enrollment in less time, and even lower the cost per randomized patient for trial sponsors. It’s a win-win.”
Christine Pierre, President of SCRS, stated, "The partnership with SCRS at this early stage of our evolution is a clear message of Acurian’s commitment and sincere interest in furthering the mission of the organization in supporting sites. We look forward to the participation of this industry leader in patient recruitment on our Global Impact Partner Board as we develop our strategic plan.”
