BioTek Instruments was an inaugural inductee in the newly established Deane C. Davis Vermont Business Hall of Fame.

The ceremony, held on May 24, 2011 in the University of Vermont's Kalkin Hall, included past winners of the Deane C. Davis Outstanding Vermont Business of the Year Award, which is presented jointly by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Vermont Business Magazine.

BioTek President/CEO Briar Alpert and Vice President Adam Alpert jointly accepted the award on behalf of BioTek.

During his acceptance speech, Mr. Briar Alpert stressed BioTek's commitment to hiring, training and retaining Vermonters, and to bringing national and international revenue into the state.

Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin attended the ceremony, and noted, "Companies like BioTek are vital players in not only Vermont's economy, but Vermont's sense of community. This induction into the prestigious Deane C. Davis Vermont Business Hall of Fame is a well-earned recognition of the importance of BioTek, and I was pleased to be part of the ceremony marking that honor."
