Boston Instruments, LLC (Chelmsford, MA) has announced that it has acquired Pro2Kem Inc.

Boston Instrument’s CEO Tim Cetto states, “We are proud to have Pro2Kem become a Boston Instruments company. Pro2Kem was established to develop and commercialize a number of novel micro-engineered analysis systems developed by Dr. Roger White for the determination of biopolymer structure.

These will include high performance multi-channel laser light-scattering detectors and a range of high-speed size separation systems for measuring molar mass, size, & conformation distributions. Pro2Kem’s first product, the AggreKem, is aimed at protein crystallography applications and rapid screening for aggregates in protein solutions.”

Pro2Kem’s headquarters will be located along with Boston Instruments in North Chelmsford, MA.  Boston Instruments, LLC was formed in March 2006 to acquire analytical and life science instrument companies.
