Peter Huber Kaltemaschinenbau GmbH have been named one of the TOP 100 most innovative middle sized enterprises in Germany. Professor Dr. Nikolaus Franke holds the chair for entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Economics in Vienna. There, the innovative behaviour of small and middle sized enterprises, from all branches of industry all over Germany is assessed and evaluated, culminating in the Top 100 companies.
Huber, a family business, manufactures environmentally friendly temperature control systems for temperatures between -120°C to 425°C. One third of the products developed are bespoke systems used in various industries such as research & development and Pharmaceutical production.
The Huber machines are used to control the temperature of the chemistry in reactors. In these fields they depend on process safety without compromise with the highest process stability and reproducible results for higher yields, Huber claims. The management style of Huber is marked by a flat hierarchy and short paths. The wealth of ideas is not just discussed, but lived. This approach has brought the company into fifth place in the top 100 category “innovations climate”.
The mentor of the TOP 100 is Prof. Dr. Lothar Spaeth, former minister for Baden-Wuerttemberg. He presented the seal to company directors Peter, Daniel and Joachim Huber, and congratulated the company on this outstanding success.
Daniel Huber commented “We were immensely pleased with the success of the previous year. Our workforce has shown great motivation, despite the crisis period. Huber innovation has revolutionised the world of temperature control technology and this renewed confirmation increases our motivation to belong to the best. Our technological advantage can only be maintained with responsible refrigeration and ecological temperature control technology. With the support of our customers and with the co-operation of our leading technical colleges (e.g. the technical University of Offenburg) our ideas become reality allowing us to continue our innovative strategy without compromise into the future”.
