LION Bioscience, Ltd. have announced that they signed an agreement with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) to collaborate on future product developments. The EMBL will implement the latest version of LION's SRS data integration platform and all its modules and provide access to it for all their researchers. LION Bioscience, Ltd. will receive end-user feedback on its SRS-related products and input on new requirements.

"We are excited to work with LION on future SRS developments," says Dr. Reinhard Schneider, Team Leader Data Integration and Knowledge Management of EMBL. "SRS has been used at the EMBL for years and we are pleased to play a role in ensuring that typical end-users requirements will be met in the releases to come."

"At EMBL, the new SRS modules can be accessed by hundreds of researchers. For us to have access to this large and qualified user base will lead to even better end-user focused SRS versions," says Dr. Nick Murrall, Managing Director at LION Bioscience, Ltd. "Since its launch, SRS has been a powerful bioinformatics tool and the leading data integration platform in life sciences. With the release of SRS 8.1 earlier this year, we targeted our user interface at biologists, and not just at expert Bioinformaticians. The relationship with the EMBL will help us to continue to focus on the end-user."
