Patent Litigation Settlement and License between Merck Millipore and W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc.

Gore has agreed to take a limited royalty-bearing license under U.S. Patent Nos. 7,293,744 and 7,927,316 and U.S. Reissue No. RE41,169, and their counterparts internationally in connection with its STA-PURE Fluid Sampling Systems and assemblies, Crimp and Cut tools, and STA-PURE Single Use Valve Systems and assemblies.

Researchers at MIT, Draper, and Brigham and Women's Hospital have designed an ingestible capsule that can be controlled using Bluetooth wireless technology. The capsule, which can be customized to deliver drugs, sense environmental conditions, or both, can reside in the stomach for at least a month, transmitting information and responding to instructions from a user's smartphone.READ MORE
