A US/UK contract research laboratory is standardizing on Debra 5.7.8, the latest release of LabLogic’s drug metabolism LIMS, as a common platform for its radio-labelled ADME studies.

The company adopted Debra’s sample pooling module in a previous release of the software, but also wanted to be able to clone a complete set of study data so that the metabolism and in-life parts could be isolated from each other, keeping the two distinct GLP studies separate and making them easier to monitor.

Debra 5.7.8 also has a feature that allows the CRO to pool some biological matrices by using a fixed weight or volume of sample rather than splitting off a percentage in the conventional manner.

Other enhancements include changes to the graphing module, in particular around the presentation of logarithmic time concentration curves and the display of some types of graph; and standardization of isotope naming in the protocol definition by having a pick list from which isotopes are selected rather than allowing free text entry.
