Homology modeling and docking studies of Comamonas testosteroni B-356 biphenyl-2, 3-dioxygenase involved in degradation of polychlorinated biphenyls
The three-dimensional model of a-subunit of Biphenyl dioxygenase (BphA) from Comamonas testosteroni B-356 has been constructed. The kinetic parameters of biphenyl compounds were well matched with the docking results. The binding properties of these biphenyl compounds along with identification of critical active site residues could be used for further site-directed mutagenesis experiments in order to identify their role in activity and substrate specificity.

Functional Screening of recombinant CHO-M1 cells using the PHERAstar from BMG LABTECH
Functional screening of single cell clones was achieved using the HTRF® IP-One assay. The HTRF® assay from Cisbio proved to be a fast and reliable method to directly screen a large number of stable transfected single cell clones. Carbachol dose response curves with fresh cells from a growing culture and frozen instant cells showed similar results for EC50 and signal-to-blank values.

Ethnicity and Help-seeking
Ethnic minorities have traditionally underutilized mental health services. It has been proposed that both willingness to see a counselor and attitudes towards seeking psychological help may impact utilization of psychological services among ethnic minority populations. The aim of this study was to explore the relationship between willingness to see a counselor and attitudes toward seeking psychological help among college students.

Clinical Outcomes and Emerging Challenges after 5 years of ART in Khayelitsha, South Africa
One of the first primary care antiretroviral treatment programs in Africa shows good patient outcomes at 5 years. Saturation of services has led to increased losses to follow-up.

Microfluidic assembly of magnetic gel particles
Monodisperse spherical magnetic gel particles containing asymmetric infrastructure were fabricated by a new microfluidics-based technique using double-emulsion droplet as templates. Double emulsions with functional cores and hydrogel shells were generated by the flow-focusing drop makers with special wettability patterning. Particles were made with a consistently anisotropic internal structure, which leads to their uniform anisotropy to perform the highly rotational controls by applying the magn

Treatment of Plaque Infections and Periodontitis using Stem Cells- A New Prospect
Dental precursor cells are attractive for novel approaches to treat diseases like periodontitis, dental caries or to improve dental pulp healing and the regeneration of craniofacial bone and teeth. These cells are easily accessible and, in contrast to bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, are more closely related to dental tissues. This paper gives a short overview of stem cells of dental origin.

Reactome - a knowledgebase of human biological pathways
Reactome is a manually curated knowledgebase, created and peer-reviewed by experts in their field. Its robust data model describes life processes ranging from metabolism to signal transduction and the cell cycle. As of release 28, Reactome contains 3700 human proteins in 3200 reactions. Data is cross-referenced to publicly available web-based informatics resources. Reactome features the SkyPainter tool for analysis of high-throughput datasets, and the Mart query and data retrieval tool.

Panic attack and suicide risk: A multivariate logistic regression analysis of a national epidemiological survey
To examine the relationship between panic attack and suicide risk, we analyzed data from a representative epidemiological survey of 43,093 adults (NESARC) using logistic regression controlling for socio-demographic and clinical variables. In depression, panic attacks are associated with increased odds of suicide attempt even after controlling for demographic and clinical variables. Furthermore, panic attacks can differentiate those who attempt suicide from those with ideation only.
