Accelrys, Inc. has announced the release of SciTegic Enterprise Server™ 7.0, the premier platform for the integration, analysis, and reporting of scientific data. This new release enhances the enterprise scalability, security, and deployment capabilities required by informatics professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemicals industries.

"The release of SciTegic Enterprise Server 7.0 represents a major milestone for Accelrys and our customers. This release extends the enterprise capabilities of our platform which will improve productivity and help our customers make more informed, real time decisions,” said Mark J. Emkjer, president and chief executive officer of Accelrys. “This is great news for our customers, including 19 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies who use our platform for their scientific research informatics.”

Key features of the new release, which is the next generation of the highly successful Pipeline Pilot platform, include a service oriented architecture environment, enterprise collaborative tools, interactive application building, and workflow parallelization.

Accelrys will be demonstrating SciTegic Enterprise Server 7.0 at the BioIT World Conference April 28-30, 2008 in Boston in Booth 201 and showing integration of the platform with technologies from Agilent, HP, and Microsoft.
