Randox has announced an improvement in liquid CO2 measurement, with improved reagent stability for on board use, calibration and shelf life on the RX Series clinical chemistry analyzers.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a metabolic waste product of cellular respiration. Elevated levels of CO2 in the blood occur in hypercapnia and respiratory acidosis. CO2 levels rise with decreased alveolar ventilation due to diseases of the lungs or bronchial tree, or breathing CO2- enriched air.
Highlights of this improvement include linearity, shelf life, on board stability and correlation with competitor assays. A liquid stable CO2 calibrator is included in the kit. Randox says that the RX Series of clinical chemistry analyzers offer time, labour and cost savings.
