Almatec®E-Series Plastic AODD Pumps

Read time: Less than a minute

Almatec® has announced its E-Series Plastic AODD Pumps provide the full containment that is critical in safely transferring dangerous acids across the chemical supply chain, including nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid.

The Almatec E-Series Plastic AODD pumps features no mechanical seals or packing, eliminating a critical leak point.

Rather, Almatec offers a unique stainless-steel containment ring that creates consistent high-torque compression all the way around the ring, pulling the components tightly together and eliminating a potential leak path.

Due to its metal core, the E-Series does not require diaphragm discs, which frequently give rise to leaks and attract contaminants.

The E-Series is made from CNC machined solid block PTFE or PE, which allows the pump to be used in the harshest environments handling the most dangerous acids.

CNC machining enables tighter tolerances along with reduced vibration, less risk of leaks, and greater stability and durability. PE and PTFE conductive models are ATEX-certified.

Other features include the Perswing P® Air Control System offering superior efficiency when comparing flow rate and air consumption needed, which translates into lower energy costs; a pulsation dampener that ensures a consistent flow rate with minimum pulsation and vibration; as well as a barrier chamber system that prevents media from spilling into the atmosphere.

The E-Series is available in seven sizes from 6 to 76 mm (1/4 to 3 inch) with maximum temperatures to 120°C (248°F).

The pump also features maximum flows to 800 L/min (210 gpm); suction lift to 5 m (16.4 ft) dry, 9.5 m (31.2 ft) wet; and maximum solids size to 15 mm (9/16 inch).
