Anachem Introduces Gilson PREPFC™ Fraction Collector with Pocket PC Control

Read time: Less than a minute

Anachem has announced the Gilson PREPFC Fraction Collector (Ethernet) with PREPFC Control Software.

The company says that this small footprint, stand-alone instrument is ideal for all HPLC systems that have communication capabilities through contact closures. Multiple units can be connected together to increase throughput. Optional wireless operation through the Pocket PC together with PREPFC’s intelligent software brings enhanced levels of control and usability enabling remote monitoring of experimental progress.

The control software features an interface for multiple collection including different modes of slope, level, time and volume that can all be viewed simultaneously within ten collection windows displaying the different parameters.

Multiple dynamic screens produce visual active data such as real-time chromatogram trace’s complete with start and stop fraction collection lines. Increased fraction collection capacity is generated by connecting and controlling up to four PREPFC’s from one source, the pocket pc.

The PREPFC Fraction Collector (Ethernet) has the ability to handle tube heights of up to 200mm using its four adjustable height settings and can accommodate several rack sizes including the code 90 series specifically used for large volume collection without the use of funnels.

The high-flow fraction collection valve allows flow rates up to 200ml/min.
