BioFocus has announced that it has extended the scope of its focussed libraries with addition based around the four membered azetidine ring system.

Compounds in the library, AZD-01, have been designed to target GCPRs containing key amine recognition regions for both agonists and antagonists.

With an average molecular weight of approximately 350 daltons, they offer excellent onward development potential.

BioFocus claims that, library AZD-01 will be of considerable interest to companies working in drug discovery as it offers a broad scope as a general peptidomimetic library containing conformationally restrained analogues of the amino acids proline, alanine and phenylalanine.

All compounds within the library have been prepared using knowledge gained not only from its SoftFocus ® libraries, but also from the company's own considerable experience of successful drug discovery.
