Dr. Steve Schwartz, President and CEO of Brooks Automation, said, “Brooks entered into the Life Sciences market in 2011 and now, with the acquisitions of industry specialists RTS Life Science, REMP®, and Nexus Biosystems, we have chosen the prestigious SLAS Conference to rollout our full offering to the Life Science industry. In Brooks Life Science Systems we combine the expertise and experience of these three leading sample management companies, alongside the extensive R&D capabilities and global service reach of Brooks Automation.”

“This is an exciting time as we continue to build on our long term commitment to supporting life science research,” commented Clint Haris, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Brooks Life Science Systems. “As pioneers in automation, we are wholly committed to focusing our R&D activities on pushing the boundaries of automated sample management and storage. Our mission is to continuously provide innovative solutions that improve sample integrity and data security during automated sample storage and management, as well as advancing the operational performance and efficiencies of our systems.”

At the conference, Booth #918, Brooks Life Science Systems will be showcasing the latest solutions in automated storage and its portfolio of products designed to meet the most demanding needs in sample management including its most recent product acquisitions, Celigo® and Plate Auditor™. Celigo is a high throughput, microplate-based, imaging cell cytometer and analysis system. Celigo provides high productivity automated solutions for the analysis, handling and testing of biological and compound samples prior to and following their storage in automated sample management systems.  The Brooks Plate Auditor will help Compound Sample Managers analyze the quality of their compounds following storage and prior to the sample’s entry into the high throughput screening phase of the drug discovery process.  Brooks will be hosting a tutorial: “Automated Biorepository Sample Workflow”, at the SLAS Conference on Tuesday, February 7th, 8:00 a.m. – 8:50 a.m., Room 8 on the upper level of the San Diego Convention Center.
