Cerilliant Introduces Aldosterone Certified Spiking Solution® for LC-MS/MS Testing

Cerilliant introduces a Certified Spiking Solution® of aldosterone at a concentration of 100 µg/mL in acetonitrile.

The Endocrine Society recommends using the aldosterone to renin ratio (ARR) for primary aldosteronism (PA) screening of patients at a high risk for hypertension1. Ensuring accurate, consistent, and reproducible ARR test results is critical not only for proper diagnosis and treatment of PA but also for ongoing management of the condition.  Test results are only as accurate as the reference, therefore any significant difference in purity of the aldosterone reference material from lot to lot could increase variability and impact the potential for a false-positive or false-negative diagnosis.

It is important to use Certified Reference Materials (CRM’s) for clinical applications, rather than research chemicals.
