Hamilton Company has recently introduced the new AcidLine Syringes to the market. It is highly resistant to acids and salts and can be adapted to almost any syringe pump. The Hamilton AcidLine Syringes have been designed for the manufacturers of measuring instruments that require syringes with superior durability.
Liquid handling devices used in the automatic dosing of aggressive and salty liquids are used in many different situations such as diagnostics, elementary analysis and in the chemical industry.
The analytical syringes which are an integral part of these pumps have to be able to withstand the highest standards of resistance and durability.
The new Hamilton AcidLine Syringes are available in long and short-stroke versions for volumes ranging from 10 milliliters to 125 microliters and are compatible with the Hamilton PSD/4as well as the majority of the syringe drives available on the market.
Highly resistant plunger
The plungers of the AcidLine syringes, ranging from 1 to 10 milliliters (long stroke) and 500 microliters (short stroke), are made of chemically inert and mechanically resistant polymer material. They are resistant to many concentrated acids, salt solutions and organic solvents.
Metal contamination of the sample, as well as corrosion and wear of the plungers has been eliminated. For very small volumes from 500 microliters (long stroke) / 250 microliters (short stroke), the plunger is made of an inert alloy which can withstand dilute acids, salt solutions and organic solvents. In combination with the tried and tested abrasion resistant UHMWPE plunger seal, AcidLine guarantees that automatic syringe pumps function accurately at all times when dosing buffer solutions.
Customized versions upon demand
The basic versions of the AcidLine Syringes fit pump models with the standard bulb shapes XP, XE, V3, V6, and the Hamilton PSD/4 syringe drive. They have a Chemseal connector (¼-28'' UNF threads and can also be supplied with other ports such as TLL, M6 or M8. They can be tailor-made to fit almost any model of pump available on the market.
Hamilton AcidLine Syringes are not simply replacement syringes, they are customized solutions designed to meet individual device requirements. AcidLine syringes can be designed and produced to meet the customer’s needs ; the plunger shape, dimensions and the connector seal are configurable options selected by the customer based on application needs and demands.
The AcidLine Technology is an additional device-independent development of the Salt Line syringe, which can be used with the Hamilton Microlab 600 Displacement Pump. It is part of the OEM portfolio of Hamilton, which focuses on vendor-specific solutions.
