Syrris has announced the launch of the Asia Tube Cooler, the latest addition to the Company’s range of advanced flow chemistry products. This exciting new module allows Asia Tube Reactors to be cooled to lower temperatures than ever before; fluoropolymer and stainless steel Asia Tube Reactors can be used at ambient temperature or cooled to sub-ambient temperatures as low as -68 °C, depending on the cooling medium of choice.

The Asia Tube Cooler can be operated for up to four hours before refilling the cooling medium, a process that is simplified by the use of a removable, chemically-resistant and easy-to-fill container compatible with most commonly used cooling media, including dry ice and acetone.

The compact Asia Tube Cooler can be used as a standalone module or connected to an Asia Heater to enable reaction temperatures to be monitored and digitally displayed, while connection to Asia PC software allows temperature logging and graphical display.

With the use of double glazed insulation and a nitrogen purge, reactions performed in fluoropolymer tube reactors remain visible at all temperatures.

The release of the Asia Tube Cooler module at the 31st SCI Process Development Symposium, Cambridge, UK, on the 2nd April confirms Syrris’ commitment to continually advancing its Asia range of flow reactors; further modules - including a compact, ultra-cold module requiring only mains power - are due to be launched soon.
