Hamilton Robotics introduces INSTINCT - completely redesigned control software for the MICROLAB NIMBUS Automated Liquid Handling Workstation.

Developed from the ground up for usability, INSTINCT puts NIMBUS functionality into the hands of users at all experience levels, with short learning curves.

INSTINCT supports a wide range of daily lab work with new tools that simplify and streamline programming.

A built-in labware library displays an icon-based menu of micro- and deep well plates, reagent troughs and Hamilton’s complete array of CO-RE (compressed O-ring expansion) disposable pipetting tips.

A “Favorites” tool allows the user to create a subset of frequently used labware.

INSTINCT’s easy Liquid Class Editor helps the user set optimal pipetting parameters, while 3-D graphics provide clear views of automatically created deck layouts.

Additional usability functions in the new software include a “Help” menu and an “Undo/Redo” button.

INSTINCT wizards quickly walk the user through method creation steps for common routines such as serial dilutions, reagent additions and plate replication.

Advanced method programming is facilitated with embedded, feature-rich Hamilton VENUS software capability, which also provides tools to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

The MICROLAB NIMBUS platform delivers a high-density deck in a compact footprint for easy benchtop positioning.

The affordable system utilizes the same proprietary air displacement technology that is built into all Hamilton STAR workstations, delivering the highest levels of pipetting performance and accuracy.
