Stuart’s HM series of controlled heating mantles have been completely redesigned. The new units are now constructed with a tough, lightweight aluminium casing, rather than plastic.

An emergency cut-out feature, which will automatically trigger in the event of a spillage, has been added to all models in the range.

Providing controlled heating up to 450ºC, Stuart heating mantles are available in five different sizes to accommodate round-bottomed flasks from 50 ml to 1000ml.

All units now include an integrated clamp rod fitting to secure a standard clamp rod, with hot-surface warning lights and non-slip feet also contributing to safe use.

Jackie Taylor, Stuart Product Manager, commented: ‘All Stuart benchtop equipment is designed, manufactured and marketed in an ISO9001:2008 environment. Our quality-focused culture ensures that we continually deliver product enhancements aimed at achieving total customer satisfaction. The latest heating mantles illustrate this commitment, combining a stylish redesigned casing, which is both robust and easy to clean, with a new emergency cut-out for enhanced safety in chemical laboratories.’
