The application note, Rapid Analysis of Recombinant Protein Production During Fermentation Using Dionex ProPac SCX Columns, details how the ProPac® SCX-10 column can be used for real-time monitoring of recombinant protein production, with reduced analysis time and smaller sample volume requirements. Further time savings can be achieved using the ProSwift® SCX-1S column. This customer application note explains how to purify and analyze recombinant lysostaphin directly from cell-free lysate without any additional purification steps; this approach is advantageous as it permits rapid monitoring as the fermentation progresses. This method also demonstrates that small volumes of culture (as little as 1 mL) can provide sufficient material for rapid analysis.
