The recent version of Tecan’s Freedom EVOware software has been designed to control pipetting and scheduling operations of Freedom EVO® liquid handling platforms.

Freedom EVOware 2.2 maintains the same graphical user interface and ensures full compatibility with the latest hardware modules.

Freedom EVOware 2.2 extends the wide range of pipetting options by offering full support of the new 384-MultiChannel Arm™ (MCA384). This allows pipetting using 384 or 96 tips, as well as pipetting just a single row or column of wells.

The latest version of Freedom EVOware puts power into the hands of the user, in terms of both process security and data storage. Users can monitor the instrument remotely through either a web page or a Windows Vista® gadget, with Freedom EVOware now running under Windows Vista as well as Windows XP.

Process security has been enhanced by extending recovery protocols to also work within worklists and system add-ons. Data management is improved by enabling scripts and processes to be stored into user-defined folders. A script navigator speeds up accessing any section of short or long scripts, the company says.
