Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has announced its latest STP 420ES tissue processor for use in high-volume pathology laboratories. The updated instrument features robust hardware and ease-of-use, enabling the high-throughput processing of large volumes of tissue to meet the demands of today's laboratories.

The Thermo Scientific STP 420ES models are designed to accommodate the requirements of researchers and pathologists in the field of tissue processing and have become an essential part of the laboratory workflow. The latest STP 420ES has been updated by the company to include robust hardware to handle the increasing number of samples processed in modern laboratories.

The instrument's dual chambers allow it to perform simultaneous or independent processing of up to 420 tissue cassettes, enabling higher throughput. In addition, ultimate fluid exchange is ensured by the rotational movement of the main chamber.

The latest STP 420ES tissue processor can be combined with Fast Flex reagents to create a streamlined processing system, increasing throughput while maintaining tissue integrity. The Thermo Scientific Fast Flex tissue processing reagents combine the stability of traditional reagent technologies with features of the STP 420ES to generate same-day-results.

Further enhancements made to the STP 420ES include optimized user guiding software and touch screen operation. The STP 420ES is also supported by improved user documentation including user training manuals and quick reference guides to aid daily operation. With the introduction of its latest tissue processor, Thermo Fisher continues to offer training to customers, ensuring instrument dependability.
