The new Thermo Scientific EA IsoLink IRMS system features technical advancements for high-quality analyses designed to allow scientists to expand their sample analysis processes. The system incorporates a Helium Management Module for very low cost-per-sample analysis—and temperature-ramped gas chromatography for high sample throughput and analytical reproducibility.

The EA IsoLink EA/IRMS was developed to enable laboratories conducting elemental analysis to experience higher throughputs at a lower cost-per-sample, without compromising on sensitivity or robustness.

The new system and the complete portfolio of isotope analysis instruments will be on display at Joint European Stable Isotopes User group Meeting (JESIUM) 2016.

Key Applications:

Food authenticity and origin, forensics, geosciences and food web studies in ecology and biology.

Features/Benefits:

•         Flexibility: The modular nature of the system delivers flexibility and the ability to analyze samples from very low microgram to high milligram concentrations.

•         Improved cost efficiencies: The Helium Management Module utilizes a valve block that helps reduce cost of ownership by decreasing helium consumption up to 70 percent, which is especially important as global helium shortages increase.

•         Improved data reproducibility: Temperature-ramped gas chromatography enables high sample throughput and increased analytical reproducibility.
