Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced Thermo Scientific DyLight 690 and DyLight 747 In Vivo Apoptosis Kits, new kits that use selective fluorescence to detect active caspases in live animals.

Increases in fluorescence indicate higher levels of active caspases, known markers for apoptosis, and this is particularly important to researchers during drug determination studies.

The DyLight® Apoptosis Kits contain a fluorescent-labeled probe that permeates living cells without exposing research animals to toxicity.

The probes are highly selective, eliminating high background and false positives that are common in other methods.

DyLight 690 or DyLight 747 dye-labeled cells are detected using a wide range of in vivo instrumentation.

The technique makes removal of cells and tissues or post-mortem examination unnecessary.
