Wilden® has announced that its Advanced™ Series Plastic AODD Pumps increase safety by protecting chemical operators against dangerous acids used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, paint and coatings, soap and detergents, pulp and paper, plastics, rubber and petroleum, to name a few.

Containing acids such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, phosphoric acid and hydrogen peroxide starts with a strong sealing system.

Advanced Series Plastic AODD Pumps provide superior containment since the pumps do not have a mechanical seal or packing that can fail and lead to costly leakage.

The pumps also feature a bolted design and single-piece integral piston diaphragm, which eliminates a potential leak point.

Advanced™ Series Plastic pumps are offered in polypropylene, PVDF and PFA with elastomers of Buna-N®, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton®, Wil-Flex™, Saniflex™, polyurethane and PTFE, again with chemical-compatibility in mind.

Their bolted configuration ensures product containment while their redesigned liquid path reduces internal friction, which maximizes output and efficiency.

The pumps are available in 6 mm to 76 mm (1/4” to 3”) sizes with the ability to handle solids up to 12.7 mm (1/2”). Maximum flow rates are 784 L/min (207 gpm).

Advanced Series pumps also feature the innovative Pro-Flo X™ air distribution system (ADS) with Efficiency Management System (EMS™), which allows the operator to dial in the actual operational parameters regardless of the application demands or pump size.
