Wyatt Technology Introduces the DynaPro™ Plate Reader
The plate reader joins Wyatt Technology’s DynaPro™ Dynamic Light Scattering product line, the most widely used DLS technology for biomolecular and nanoparticle characterization.
The DynaPro Plate Reader is a temperature controlled high throughput dynamic light scattering Plate Reader system available to the scientific community.
The scientists can perform classical thermal DLS studies on a large number of therapeutic macromolecules over a wide range of solution conditions automatically.
The Plate Reader is designed to control temperature for hundreds of samples simultaneously, capturing DLS data quickly, easily and directly from industry standard microplates (96, 384, or 1536 formats) without perturbing samples (as little as 5 microliters of sample per well in 1536 well format).
To control and perform thermal DLS studies in microplates, Wyatt Technology endowed the DynaPro with an extensive array of technologies including software controlled peltier-based temperature systems, compact digital attenuators, precision mechanical stages, proprietary multi-mode optical fibers, and software control and processing algorithms.
Optical improvements can provide the ability to measure lower sample concentrations, and the inclusion of digital attenuation provides the ability to measure concentrations that are higher by a factor of 10,000.
The combination gives a dynamic range of concentration measurement of more than 3 million. The result is the stable, reproducible, temperature controlled DynaPro Plate Reader DLS technology, able to measure under a broad range of sample concentrations and conditions.
