Flexible multichannel pipetting The ASSIST PLUS is designed to adapt as laboratory needs evolve. Many of INTEGRA’s multichannel pipettes can be mounted on the instrument, creating a flexible platform capable of accommodating a wide range of liquid handling workflows. This includes VIAFLO lightweight electronic pipettes for plate-to-plate transfers, and VOYAGER adjustable tip spacing pipettes for tube-to-plate or plate-to-plate reformatting. This allows the ASIST PLUS to support 4 to 16 channel pipetting giving labs the freedom to scale throughput and expand applications without investing in an entirely new automation platform. Automate single channel tasks The flexibility of the ASSIST PLUS is further increased by the D-‍ONE single channel pipetting module, which enables hands-free transfers from individual tubes or wells. This simplifies automation of tasks such as normalization, hit picking and master mix preparation, saving time while improving accuracy and consistency. The module also features automatic liquid level detection, which allows the D-ONE to determine the correct aspiration depth for each well without the user having to enter fill volumes, speeding up programming and reducing the risk of errors. Ease of use meets intelligent control Many automation systems are difficult to get to learn, and require extensive skills to program effectively. The ASSIST PLUS can be easily programmed through a computer running free VIALAB software or directly on the instrument itself. VIALAB software intuitively guides the user step-by-step through the set-up of individual protocols, prompting them to enter the necessary parameters, and offers a simulation feature to estimate processing time and the number of tips required, as well as check for programming errors. Compact footprint to fit any space The small size of the ASSIST PLUS ensures that it fits into almost any space within the lab, making automation accessible even where bench space is limited. Many customers also routinely use the instrument inside biosafety cabinets to enable sterile sample processing.
