Uniqsis PhotoSyn™ LED Photoreactor

Uniqsis PhotoSyn™ LED Photoreactor

Uniqsis are pleased to introduce the PhotoSyn™ variable, high power LED light hood for continuous flow photochemical applications.

The unit is available in three different LED configurations – blue, blue/UVA, blue/green/white – utilising up to 720 individual LEDs with a maximum combined power of 700W and is designed to integrate with the Uniqsis Cold Coil™ and the Polar Bear Plus Flow™ reactor modules. Intensity and, where available, different colours can be selected using the control panel on the dedicated power supply.

The power supply is fitted with ethernet (TCP/IP) and serial (RS232) ports in order to enable the PhotoSyn™ to be controlled and operated remotely.

The internal LED arrays are curved to focus light onto the central coil reactor and thereby maximise irradiation and are cooled either by connection to a cold water supply or a compressed gas line. Convective air cooling is also incorporated to ensure that the reactor temperature can be independently controlled by the reactor module.

The PhotoSyn™ is compatible with all Uniqsis coil reactors up to 50ml volume and, when fitted with the optional glass chip holder, Uniqsis glass static mixer blocks can also be accommodated within the light hood.

To maximise safety, PhotoSyn™ has been designed to operate without any light leakage, and therefore does not require a tinted or light-tight enclosure. Safety interlocks are also fitted to prevent the possibility of accidental exposure to high intensity/UV light should an attempt be made to remove the PhotoSyn™ from the reactor module whilst powered.
