Applications and Limitations of Engineered Tissue

We spoke to Prof. Dr. med. Wolfram-Hubertus Zimmermann, Director of the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University Medical Centre Goettingen, Germany. He described his interest in tissue engineering, and his research group's aim to develop mature muscle tissue for drug screening and organ repair. 

He highlights the applications and limitations of engineered tissue and the relationship between quantity and quality.
