Benchmarking of the Microsart® AMP Mycoplasma Kit With Products of Two Other Suppliers

Among the world’s smallest bacteria, mycoplasmas are capable of independent reproduction and thus contamination of cell cultures remains a major problem. Sensitive routine testing for contamination of cell cultures is essential. With several different PCR kits to detect mycoplasma available, we benchmarked the Microsart® AMP Mycoplasma kit against products of two other suppliers.
