Temperature Control Technology For Thermal Cycling

Temperature Control Technology For Thermal Cycling content piece image

Temperature, ramp rate and hold time are the critical parameters controlled by a thermal cycler for a successful PCR reaction, so a poor thermal cycler can negatively affect the quality of your research. Gradient temperature control is a feature that could help the user conduct PCR optimization experiments in the fewest attempts possible, however a true linear gradient is not achievable because of heat interactions between the high and low temperature set at each end of the homogeneous metal block.

Download this app note to learn more about how VeriFlex Blocks temperature control could help you:

  • Accurately determine the optimal annealing temperature to help eliminate guesswork
  • Save time by running multiple reactions with different annealing temperatures in a single PCR run
  • Incubate samples with multiple incubation temperatures
