SAMiRNA RNAi Nanoparticle Prodrug Technology

AbstractOne of the major hurdles for the development of RNA interference (RNAi)-based therapeutics is siRNA delivery. SAMiRNA (Self-Assembled-Micelle-inhibitory-RNA) is a novel class of RNAi molecule, developed by Bioneer, which allows efficient and safe in vivo delivery of siRNA to target tissues. SAMiRNA is a SCE (single Chemical Entity), which is manufactured using a proprietary process that greatly simplifies the manufacture and QC process relative to other state-of-the-art RNAi delivery platforms. This presentation highlights the therapeutic potential of SAMiRNA by virtue of its low toxicity and superb in vivo serum stability as well as its target gene silencing efficiency in a mouse tumor model.
