DEPI and LemnaTec Commence Plant Phenomics Project

Together with DEPI, LemnaTec has developed a state of the art high throughput plant Phenotyping platform. Research programs at the DEPI Grains Innovation Park develop improved germplasm, crop varieties and agronomic packages for cereals, pulses and oilseeds, targeting productivity, grain quality and resource use efficiency.
Dirk Vandenhirtz CEO of LemnaTec commented, “We are very proud to work together with the DEPI to develop this state of the art facility. It will be equipped with the 3rd generation of our LemnaTec Scanalyzer 3D Plant Phenomics Platform providing DEPI with advanced plant phenotyping capability.”
Children who are genetically predisposed to overweight, due to common gene variants, can still lose weight by changing their diet and exercise habits. Around 750 children and adolescents with overweight or obesity undergoing lifestyle intervention participated in the study conducted by researchers from the University of Copenhagen and Holbæk Hospital.
