DEPI and LemnaTec Commence Plant Phenomics Project

Together with DEPI, LemnaTec has developed a state of the art high throughput plant Phenotyping platform. Research programs at the DEPI Grains Innovation Park develop improved germplasm, crop varieties and agronomic packages for cereals, pulses and oilseeds, targeting productivity, grain quality and resource use efficiency.

Ancient Syphilis Genomes Decoded for First TimeNews
Researchers recovered three genomes of the bacterium Treponema pallidum from skeletal remains from colonial-era Mexico, and were able to distinguish the subspecies that causes syphilis from the subspecies that causes yaws. It was not previously thought possible to recover DNA from this bacterium from ancient samples.
