Febit and Sigma-Aldrich Arrange Exclusive Cooperation

Febit biotech gmbh has announced that it has contracted with Sigma-Aldrich Chemie GmbH Deutschland as a partner for its product platform GENIOM.

Sigma-Aldrich agreed to produce special DNA building blocks and solvents for Febit's GENIOM platform. These are supplied as a kit that includes all reagents for synthesis of DNA oligonucleotides in the biochip, the core component of the GENIOM instrument.

In addition, Sigma-Aldrich will provide worldwide logistics for GENIOM chemicals. The cooperation was initiated in January 2006.

The companies currently prepare an extension of their cooperation to reagents for sample preparation.
