GeneGo, Inc. has announced that its data analysis products MetaCore, MetaLink, MapEditor and MetaRodent are now supported by Mac and Linux operating systems and multiple web browsers.

“Mac-compatibility is good news for our industrial and academic users,” said Julie Bryant, GeneGo’s VP of Business development. “The Mac/Safari user base is a significant and growing sector for GeneGo so we wanted to make sure we made our software and databases compatible for the IT environment.”

“I am a dedicated Mac user myself, and I am personally very glad to be able to work with MetaCore on my laptop”, said Eugene Rakhmatulin, Head of IT at GeneGo.” All MetaCore, MetaLink, MapEditor and MetaRodent functionality is now supported in Safari 3.0 or higher and the latest updates of Tiger and Leopard Mac OS. We also support Firefox 2, making our products available for Linux users.”
