This year's award recipients were chosen from a field of close to 2,000 of the best and brightest entrepreneurs in ten categories. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Now in its 26th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 140 cities in more than 50 countries throughout the world. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. The independent panels of judges include entrepreneurs and prominent leaders from academia, business and the media.

"It's an honor and privilege to receive the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award in the Emerging Company category on behalf of all of the medical leaders working at Health Diagnostic Laboratory to save lives and healthcare dollars every day," said Tonya Mallory, CEO and co-founder of HDL, Inc.

Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. received the national recognition during a period of rapid growth for the organization as it changes the way clinical laboratories interact with physicians and patients. The advanced laboratory provides a comprehensive panel of tests to help physicians personalize treatment based on more complete patient profiling. As a result of the evidence-based approach at Health Diagnostic Laboratory, the medical community now has the ability to earlier detect risk factors pre-disposing patients to disease and to provide more personalized, cost effective treatments.
