ServiceXS Acquires GeneTitan™ Instrument from Affymetrix

ServiceXS announced that they have acquired the GeneTitan™ Instrument from Affymetrix which maximizes the productivity of their lab.
The GeneTitan™ combines the hybridization oven, fluidics processing and imaging device into one bench-top machine, automating the microarray experiments from array processing to data generation. With the newly acquired GeneTitan™, ServiceXS can offer its clients same better results and a higher throughput.
“We are proud to add the GeneTitan to our lab collections. It provides us the possibility to expand our capacity” states Edwin de Vries, Marketing and Sales Manager of ServiceXS. “ServiceXS already offered high quality data to our customers. With the GeneTitan we can generate even more reproducible results and decrease turn around times.”
The add on from the GeneTitan™ to the conventional Affymetrix workflow completes another milestone in an exciting first half of 2009. Already two new services were introduced recently by ServiceXS: microRNA expression profiling and DNA methylation analysis service.
Currently, human, mouse and rat 3’ expression arrays are available in the format for the GeneTitan™. In the end of 2009, Affymetrix will also launch a genome wide genotyping plate format which is compatible.
