Solexa to Present at Leerink Swann & Company/MEDACorp Roundtable Conference

Solexa, Inc. has announced that John West, chief executive officer of Solexa, and Linda Rubinstein, vice president & CFO, will make a presentation to the investment community at the Leerink Swann & Company/MEDACorp Roundtable Conference on Emerging Life Science Tools Products and Applications on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 2:15 p.m. Eastern Time (11:15 a.m. Pacific Time) at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.

Interested investors may gain access to a live audio webcast via the Internet by visiting the "Investors" section of the Company's Web site. The presentation will be archived on the Web site for 14 days.

In addition, Mr. West will participate in a panel discussion, "Emerging DNA Sequencing Technologies and Applications," moderated by John Sullivan and Irena Melnikova, Ph.D., of Leerink Swann.

The panel will also include other industry participants, including representatives of top-tier commercial and academic institutions.
