Unleashed Informatics has announced the launch of Unleashed Global Services, the company’s consulting and training group.

Unleashed Global Services delivers life science informatics support services to commercial, academic, government and non-governmental customers worldwide.

"Life scientists from all sectors pursue competitive advantage relentlessly by seeking out new data management technology and techniques," says Unleashed Informatics Co-Founder, President and CEO Mr. Eric Andrade.

"Our company’s open access portal with over 7000 members allows the Unleashed Global Services team to view trends and advances on this battle ground from a unique perspective."

Unleashed Global Services delivers its specialized consulting and training services by drawing upon a roster of proven experts in the areas of life science data management, software development, information technology management, product definition, research programme management and education.

Unleashed Informatics Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Colin Aikman, will lead Unleashed Global Services.

Mr. Aikman brings 15 years of international business building and service provision experience working with companies, governments and non-governmental organizations throughout North America and Australasia.

Mr. Aikman has distinguished himself by driving the commercialization efforts at Unleashed Informatics - the for-profit spin off of the well-regarded Blueprint Initiative at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.

"Our team has delivered outstanding customer service, focused internal development efforts, met impossible milestones, rolled out rapid-fire products, and demonstrated a resolve to contain costs throughout the process," says Mr. Aikman. "This is the path taken by each Global Services customer."

Unleashed Global Services team members have practical, hands-on experience solving problems in the life science space.

Associates have partnered with top-tier Asia-based pharmaceutical researchers in improving data retention and integration, and assisted North American biotechnology companies in reducing information technology costs.

Further, Unleashed Global Services staff have worked closely with European data management consortia members in establishing professional data assembly standards and techniques.

"Imagine remunerating a consultant based on customer performance improvement, and the service comes with a money back guarantee," adds Mr. Aikman.

"Our willingness to bet on ourselves with each contract is what distinguishes Unleashed Global Services."

The Unleashed Global Services team has developed a problem solving methodology specifically tailored to life science informatics challenges.

This approach includes light-handed Needs Assessment, more detailed Solutions Development and direct Solution Delivery.

Other elements include Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Auditing functions, Governance and Management Support, and Training.

"We take our own medicine at Unleashed Informatics. We are admired for building standard-setting molecular interaction databases like BINDPlus and cheminformatics resources like SMIDSuite Plus," adds Mr. Andrade.

"We are recognized for developing data integration resources such as DogBox and DogRun."

"And we are respected for delivering large scale research project plans on time, on budget and to specification."

"The next logical step is to share our valuable knowledge and experience with the global life science community," adds Mr. Andrade.
