Venturing Into the New Territory of Behavioral Sequencing

Genetics control behavioral sequences that are building blocks for complex behavior patterns that shape risk, reward and effort. Hörndli et al. explore the architecture of complex behavior patterns by studying foraging in mice. They develop methods to deconstruct foraging into reproducible behavioral sequences called "modules". Module frequency, timing and order are under genetic control. Credit: Cornelia N.
