Efficient downregulation of the lung liquid clearing gammaENaC subunit by RNAi
Poster Sep 11, 2008
CF is caused by mutations in the gene encoding for CFTR. CFTR functions as chloride channel on the apical membrane of epithelia thereby regulating the transport of chloride and also sodium ions indirectly. It seems that the regulation of ENaC fails due to the mutated CFTR protein. And it is assumed that ENaC plays a role in the pathogenesis of chronic lung disease in CF-patients.

CiPA Phase 2 Study: validation of an automated microelectrode array (MEA) assay of hiPSC-derived cardiomyocyte electrophysiology for cardiac safety evaluationPoster
These results support the use of hSC-CM and MEA technology for preclinical assessment of proarrhythmic risk within the proposed CiPA paradigm, and, more generally, demonstrate that automation of the CM-MEA assay can achieve high reliability and throughput for cardiac risk assessment in vitro.READ MORE
