Nuclear Factor Y transcription factor is a heterotrimeric complex comprised of the three subunits: NF-YA, NF-YB and NF-YC. Each of the three subunits are encoded by multiple genes in plants, with unique mRNA expression profiles within each family including differential response to development and external stimuli. In this study we identified a light-upregulated TaNF-YB subunit member involved in the regulation of chlorophyll biosynthesis, photosynthesis-related genes, anthesis and flowering time genes.
