Agilent Technologies Inc. announced cutting-edge lab technology solutions on show at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Conference (ASMS) which is being held June 2 through June 6 in Atlanta, Georgia. With powerful solutions for mass spectrometry labs, Agilent continues to maintain its position as a leader in the mass spectrometry market.

"Our 50-year heritage in analytical technology and deep customer insights enable us to continue to drive meaningful change that helps our customers advance their science," said Monty Benefiel, vice president, and general manager of Agilent's Mass Spectrometry Division. "Our goal is to make sure they not only succeed today but are ready for the challenges of tomorrow."

The new Agilent products, which will be highlighted at ASMS, have been launched across the company's portfolio of LC/MS and GC/MS instruments. The Agilent 6546 LC/Q-TOF System provides researchers the ability to acquire high-resolution data across an unprecedented dynamic range. This innovative instrument includes Q-RAI (Quadrupole-Resolved All Ions), a data-independent acquisition mode that reduces the complexity of MS/MS spectra while maximizing the accuracy and quality of the data acquired. An updated MassHunter Software Suite complements the 6546 system.

Also on show: the new Agilent 6495C Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System, which provides industry-leading precision in complex matrices, and the new Agilent Bravo Metabolomics Sample Prep Platform, the perfect partner for Agilent mass spectrometers, that provides consistent and accurate preparation of human plasma samples for metabolomics analysis.

In addition, the Agilent 8890 Gas Chromatograph (GC) System will be on display. The 8890 GC and the 8860 GC both launched in February. These two new GCs, built on a next-generation electronic architecture platform, incorporate innovative and intelligent 'self-aware' predictive technology, expanding Agilent's suite of smart-connected GC instruments.

Announcements regarding further LC/MS products and solutions launching at ASMS will be made during the conference.

"These new products will enable researchers to get the answers they need in less time—and increase the confidence they have in their results," added Benefiel.
