AnaSpec has introduced its new MMP antibodies – anti-MMP-8 (hinge), anti-MMP-9 (hinge), anti-MMP-11 (hinge), anti-MMP-13 (IN) and anti-MMP-28 (IN) antibodies.

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) belong to a family of proteolytic enzymes capable of degrading connective tissue components, making them important in embryonic development, apoptosis, tumor cell growth, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis and wound healing.

Substrates for MMPs include cell adhesion molecules, growth factors, cytokines, and proteases. Immunogens used to develop these antibodies include synthetic peptides, recombinant and native proteins. Applications include western blot, IHC, IP, and ELISA.
